Meet Starlyss

Starlyss is a Phoenix-based artist, born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, whose journey into full-time artistry was shaped by resilience and a passion for creativity. After facing unsupportive work environments that sought to minimize her potential, she embraced her creative destiny, driven by the need to support her family and the realization that her "circle did not fit their square." Evening sessions devoted to her art became a pathway to liberation and a testament to her enduring spirit.

As a woman of color, Starlyss has experienced both the challenges and triumphs of seeking acceptance in business and personal spheres. Art became her refuge—a platform for uncensored self-expression and reflection. Her work celebrates the effortless brilliance of nature’s patterns, finding inspiration in its inherent harmony and resilience.

Behind the lens, Starlyss becomes one with her surroundings, taking a deep breath before capturing moments with her signature bracketing technique. Her meticulous process enhances light and color, creating vibrant works of realism and depth.
